Bronze Level Quality Award Honors Best Practices in Long Term Care.
The American Healthcare Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) are pleased to announce that the following center is a 2012 recipients of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality National Quality Award for its outstanding performance in the health care profession: Oakland Manor Nursing Center, LLC
This prestigious award highlights select facilities across the nation that serve as models of excellence for providing high-quality long term care. Nationally this year, 557 centers submitted Bronze applications and 401 centers are Bronze recipients.
“Each one of the award recipients has proven their dedication to improving lives through quality care, and it is a privilege to honor them with this year’s award,” said Governor Mark Parkinson, President and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “We congratulate each recipient on their achievement.”
The National Quality Award Program is centered on the criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. The program has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Facilities begin the quality improvement process at the Bronze level and must receive an award at each level before proceeding to the next. As a recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality award these centers have demonstrated their ability to implement a performance improvement system. Oakland Manor Nursing Center, LLC may now move forward in developing approaches and achieving performance levels that meet the criteria required for the Silver - Achievement in Quality award.
